I’ve been recently bitten by the Twitter Bug.
Twitter is a site that allows you, as either a person or a business, to instantly update your friends and customers as to your thoughts, whereabouts or other as-it-happens information. While the business application for twitter is a case that may be difficult to make in some circumstances, I’ve found it could very well be a viable application.
Because of it’s RSS capabilities, post-from-cell-phone feature and it’s community building social networking platform, it could be a tool to give your customers a glimpse into your creative process. It could be used to log new products you put on your website. It could be used to drop testimonials as they happen for the world to see.
Because of it’s limitations (such as 150 characters per post), twitter really is for the limited attention span generation. You wouldn’t want to rely on it for all of your marketing, but it could very well be one more inbound link to your blog or your store, one more way to express yourself and one more way to reach your customers.
